CDA Coming from Another Country

Graduates of dental assisting programs in the United States and/or internationally-trained dental healthcare professionals who have National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) certification may be eligible for CDSBC certification pending an assessment of your credentials.

IMPORTANT: If you have ever been or are currently registered/licensed in another province or country, please contact that provincial or national regulatory body to request a Certificate of Standing for your CDSBC application. The Certificate must be delivered directly to CDBSC from the licensing/regulating body in a sealed envelope. If the Certificate cannot be sent directly to CDSBC, it must be received by CDSBC in the original sealed envelope.

The Certificate is valid for up to 30 days from the date that it was signed. If applicant does not have their registration/certification process completed within the 30 days, a new Certificate may be required.

Please complete and submit the CDA Assessment Application Package (PDF).
