New for 2017/18 Annual Renewal:

  • Changes to the Criminal Record Check Process

Effective 1 March 2017, CDSBC is changing the Criminal Record Check (CRC) process and making it easier for registrants. Registrants are required to undergo a CRC every five years. CDSBC will now collect one fifth of the CRC fee at annual renewal each year and registrants will be asked to consent to a CRC as part of their online renewal for the year their CRC expires. You will no longer be required to submit your own CRC applications to the College.

Registrants will continue to be accountable for any follow up requested after the CRC application is submitted. Those who are flagged for a vulnerable sector check will still be required to have their fingerprints taken.

    Note:
If your CRC expires prior to 1 March 2017, you are still required to submit your own CRC application for this year.

  • Dental Corporations (Dentist Only)

Health profession corporations, such as a dental corporations, cannot operate without a permit issued by CDSBC. Information pertaining to the requirements of the corporation permits, as stipulated under Part 11 of the CDSBC Bylaws, has to be tracked by CDSBC.

Over the past two years, we have collected dental corporation information in the online annual renewal form to ensure our records are up to date. This year, if you are a shareholder of a dental corporation, you will see the information recorded however you will not be able to change the information in the form. You will see instructions on how to update your dental corporation information.

If you have changes to make in relation to your current dental corporation permit, or if you have to obtain a new permit, please see the instructions and applicable forms available here >>
