You will need the following information in order to complete your renewal:

  • The number of hours that you practised in 2019.
  • Your most current contact information (i.e. email address, mailing address, all practice addresses, phone numbers).
  • Your B.C. Driver's License number (if applicable), all names that you use or have used, and your place of birth (city + country). This information is required in order to ensure that CDSBC has the required data needed for processing your Criminal Record Check through the direct upload process (from CDSBC to the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General directly).
  • Dentists who own sedation facilities will need to provide information about the facility.
  • You will need to have read and understood CDSBC’s standards and guidance documents, including the Code of Ethics and declare that you have done so.

Payment options

The annual registration fee may be paid:

  • Online by credit card (VISA or Mastercard ONLY).
  • Visa debit cards are not accepted.
  • Online by Interac from your bank account (RBC Royal Bank, TD Canada Trust, BMO Bank of Montreal, and Scotiabank ONLY).
  • By mailing a cheque or money order - payable to CDSBC - along with the Online Renewal Payment Summary page.
  • In person by cash, cheque, money order, Interac, or credit card at the CDSBC office Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Your renewal is not complete until CDSBC has received both payment of your registration fee and your complete renewal information.

What happens if my renewal is not completed by March 2020?

  • Effective March 2 2020:
    - your registration will lapse and you will not be eligible to practise.
    - your malpractice insurance will no longer be in effect (dentists only).
  • If it is determined you have practised with a lapsed registration, a formal complaint may be brought forward to the complaints department.
  • An additional reinstatement fee will be required to renew.
  • You will not be eligible to vote in the 2020 CDSBC Board election.

Reminder: Registrants must keep their contact information up-to-date with CDSBC.

Criminal Record Check: CDSBC automatically submits a CRC application on your behalf every 5 years. If your 5 year criminal record check is in process and you have recently been contacted by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General and asked to provide additional information for your criminal record check, you must submit proof to CDSBC that you are complying with their request in order to finalize your renewal. If you have any questions about this, please contact crrc@cdsbc.org.
