Now you can read an anonymous summary of all of those complaint files for three years (2012-2015) to learn what patients complain about, and how the College addresses the concerns raised through the investigation of hundreds of complaints.

An email was sent to practising dentists on 7 March with a list of the names of CDAs whose certification has lapsed. All registrants should be aware that any CDAs who are practising, but not currently certified, are in contravention of the Health Professions Act and the CDSBC Bylaws. Dentists are responsible for ensuring that their staff have appropriate registration.
Dentists can confirm that a CDA has current certification on the Registrant Lookup.

The College recently recognized
10 dentists, certified dental assistants and members of the public at our annual awards ceremony. We welcome applications from individuals who also want to volunteer on our many committees
and working groups. If you would like to contribute to the important work of
protecting the public, complete the volunteer application form.

CDSBC's 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at 8:30 am on Friday, 23 June at the Segal Centre at SFU Harbour Centre, 515 West Hastings Street, Vancouver. The AGM will also be webcast and available to view across the province.
The next meeting of the Board will be held the following day, at 8:30 am on Saturday, 24 June at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Grouse Room, 34th Floor, 655 Burrard Street, Vancouver.
If you plan to attend the AGM in person or the board meeting, please RSVP by 9 June to Nancy Crosby at firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure adequate seating and materials. Instructions for attending the AGM via webcast will be posted closer to the date.
