The Board of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC has appointed Dr. Chris Hacker to the role of Registrar and CEO effective 1 March 2019.
Chris brings more than 35 years of dentistry practice and seven years with the College to this role, both of which contribute to his deep understanding of the complexities of health provision and regulation. He first joined the College as a Complaint Investigator in 2011 and later took on the role of Policy & Practice Advisor. Chris was Deputy Registrar before becoming Acting Registrar in April 2018.

The deadline to renew your registration or certification is
today: Friday, 1 March. Log in to your account on the CDSBC website to complete
your renewal and make your payment. If you do not renew on time, you are not
permitted to practise until you have reinstated and paid the additional

inform decision-making over the next three years and will be used to

Board Election: Close of Nominations
Close of nominations for the Board Election is 14 March at 4:30 pm. Nominations are being accepted for the following positions:
Officers (One-Year Term)
Position descriptions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer
Board Members (Two-Year Term)
Position descriptions: Individual Board Member
The College visits component societies around the province to connect with registrants. This spring, we will be visiting societies in Victoria and Courtenay and look forward to joining other meetings as the year progresses.
