Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines
Draft Guidelines
CDSBC has worked closely with the College of Dental Hygienists of BC to facilitate the establishment of Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines as a reference for dental practitioners.
The two colleges jointly struck a working group and each college selected three representatives in the areas of practice, education and research to develop the document. The group included three dentists, a CDA, two hygienists and a physician whose area of expertise is infection control.
These evidence-based and referenced guidelines should satisfy all government and public requirements while being workable for dental healthcare providers.
The CDSBC Board has approved the Draft Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines document for review.
