The College regulates certified dental assistants based on the Health Professions Act and the CDSBC bylaws made under the Act.


A certified dental assistant who currently holds a license with the College for 2009/2010 is not affected by transition to the HPA and the new CDSBC Bylaws. Their existing license will continue to be valid until the certification renewal deadline in March 2010.
